But I think people must understand that, the ideology behind this whole movement is that, no way can salary increases in this country be from 3% and to a hooping average of 6.9% when fees increase by 8%. It does not make financial sense. If indeed the doors of education are open in this country, then why do we have to pay so much, so much that only a few students from upper class families can afford

DeleteFees must fall was/is an excellent initiative to voice out the fact not all of us students can afford to pay for our fees. As a result of that many drop out, many quit because of the struggle, many are not allowed to register for the next year due to some fee shortfalls depriving the students to further their studies. Fees must fall kind of brought attention to the government that not all students after matric do nothing because they are tired of learning but because they cannot afford to learn.

ReplyDeleteI am not against the campaign, I just don't think that it's a good idea for students to vandalise the institution's property when protesting for #FeesMustFall.
